What is NextSite?
NextSite is a community map for life on the road. You check in when you want to be found, see friends within a day's drive, discover nearby travelers who are open to meeting up, share road-tested place notes, and know when your routes might cross. Nothing about your location updates until you check in again.
Does NextSite track my location in the background?
No. NextSite reads your location only at the moment you actively check in — never in the background and never while the app is closed. Once you check in, your position doesn't change for others until you check in again. You can turn location access on or off any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Who can see where I am?
Only the people you choose. Each check-in has an audience — friends can see a precise pin, everyone else sees your city — and your profile and rig details are shared according to the settings you pick in the app. NextSite does not sell your data or share it with advertisers. How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account and its associated data from within the app. If you'd prefer we do it for you, or you can't access the app, email support@nextsiteapp.com from your account email address and we'll take care of it.
How do I reset my password or fix sign-in?
Use the "forgot password" option on the sign-in screen to receive a reset email. If you're still stuck, email us and we'll help you recover access.
What devices does NextSite support?
NextSite is an iPhone app. During the beta it targets recent versions of iOS. An Android version is not available.
How do I report someone or something in the app?
If you see content or behavior that doesn't belong, use the in-app reporting option where available, or email support@nextsiteapp.com with details. We take safety on the road seriously and review every report.
